Thanks to John Russell for the gig and Helen for recording it.

The Rick Jensen Trio was started in 1999, We are an improvising group, all of our music is spontaneous, making every performance completely unique. Many different musicians have played with the band, some only once and others have stuck around for a couple of years. Originally formed in Wellington, New Zealand, we are now based London and there are various musicians who come and go from the group, the line-up can change with each performance. The group isn't always a trio but thats usually what it works out to be. We've experimented with all kinds of combinations and instrumentation, often dictated by who was around and able to perform. The group has been as large as 6 and as small as 2. We are essentially a live band and perform as often as possible. We have 17 releases most of which were released in limited edition CDRs which are no longer in print, currently available is "A Fundamental Problem" and "Shuddering Indifference" (available for free download from www.foetalorange.blogspot.com) "High Tension" a limited CDR and 4 older releases are still available for download from Postmoderncore records. Rick is also a member of I-C-E an improvising clarinet ensemble, Nova Scotia a free form abstract trio and founded The Radioactive Ensemble an international music/art collective. He also performs in other collaborative projects. He is a photographer and has had over 20 exhibitions in NZ and the U.K. and is currently working on publishing his first book.

Sylvie Walder discovered "_" 's music on myspace and was struck by its weirdness and intimacy. A friend request was sent and the two began to share music and thoughts.
The idea of remixing each other finally emerged. "_" had already released an album on Rack and Ruins records. Sylvie decided to take the chance and try to make "_ "'s raw music sound totally different. It was indeed a kind of "tour de force" to make an ambient album out of this really raw material, using only minimal equipment, and adding no extraneous sounds. It finally resulted in 13 melancholic tracks. The initial sound has been softened to create a really gentle drifting atmosphere which, combined with the titles, should work as little paintings of an imaginary "vie quotidienne". Sylvie Walder just wanted to make "_" a musical gift. But the two thought it could be interesting to release this music and let a wider audience be aware of the project.

Sylvie Walder works alone or with others using mainly field recordings and drones. There's no particular aim in sw's music. It sounds "ambient" today, it could sound totally different tomorrow. The aesthetics though remain quite firm: the fields, the trees, the clouds, Knut Hamsun.

About _:
1. I can't play musical instruments.
2. I'm a student studying Japanese contemporary literature.
3. So I don't know a theory of the music at all.
4. I don't have most of the machine for recording.
5. I hardly know English.
6. All my music is certain plagiarism.
7. Thank you.

'To Wash Against the Hudson River Running' (2008) is an album of avant-garde music that explores the extremes of sound and silence, and the darkness of mankind's dual nature.
"My intention was to remove from much of the music all that can define it from just 'sound' – to weaken the sense of rhythm, pitch, melody and tonality and instead focus on how sound emerges from silence and from other sound, how it reverberates and disperses across the frequencies of the stereo field, and then finally returns to silence and inaudibility once more".
Using a combination of analog and digital synthesizers, vintage effects, guitars, drums and bass, the album was recorded over 2 weeks in the artist's house. The audio was then arranged on a computer sequencer and mixed back to analog tape.

March Rosetta is the solo electronic music project of Thomas Carter.
Born in 1982, Oxford, England, Carter had no formal musical training of any kind until the age of 21, when he embarked on 4 years of intense study of classical music.
"Being in isolation from any established or traditional modes of making music for so long, I learnt to be entirely self-reliant as a musician, and to teach myself by listening only to the sound I heard - not by looking at a visual score first with my eye, and then reacting to it sonically".
Independently releasing his first album 'Beaches of Snow' in 2005, Carter has since released two further albums under the March Rosetta name – 'Late in Time', and 'Young' (both 2008).
Now living in London, he collaborates regularly with a number of musicians internationally. His current projects include the bands 'Hip Nothings', 'The Marsh Chapel Experiment', and 'Menhirs of Er Grah'.

This music was recorded by TA in 2002, during a special melodic stage of the group: rare melodies surprising to the players like a in a serendipity. Inusual combinations of rythms and textures playing classical instruments like clarinet, cello, viola, piano, spanish guitar, accordion (and a few of timid percussions and daily objects in special moments) produces an atmosphere between cult and any popular music from no one land. Only improvisation and open collective subconscious are the techniques for this creations. Little parts of someone track have a few composition, but TA never uses composition after this record until now.

Trío Antimanierista play and record improvised music since 2000. Antonia Funes, David Diaz and Víctor Sequí are a rare musicians with no one musical formation. This no formation is the key for a more free inspired soundworks of the group. Pitagoric system for music is not accepted by this musicians… they proposes return to the times before this singular musical method.

04 - It was in the bush - 4:29 (320 kbps)
05 - Alone I'm when happy - 5:52 (320 kbps)

This is concept album to explore deep inside of a depressed mind. Despair, racing thoughts, constant changing decisions, and having no confidants are some of the feelings that are conveyed in this album. Now take these feelings with you on a walk in your neighborhood at night and you will get the hole premise behind the structure of all of the tracks.
The inspiration for this album comes from my own personal experiences with a debilitating condition of the mind.
The material used in this concept album are: A cheap $30 synthesizer key board, freely down loadable audio manipulation software, homemade field recording micro samples and a home built audio processor.
